Coolest Volunteer Appreciation Ever

Is This cool or what!!!!! Los, down at Buckhead had an incredible idea to love on the Creatives in his dept. What are you doing to love on your volunteers? It sure has me thinking! WHOOP! -Kev

We loved on our volunteers this weekend.
They had 24 hours to make a short film.
When they arrived at the building, they were assigned teams.
Then they selected a movie and a genre in which to remake the movie.
You had to use the line…Dude, Where’s my…?”
You had to use a Bobble Head Figurine from our series Judgement Call.
You had 24 hours to turn in your film and we showed them on the Big Screen Saturday night with friends and family.
Over the next few days I will show you some of them.
I’ll go ahead and start with the winner.
This team of volunteers had to remake the movie “The Ten Commandments” as a Kung Fu film.

What's Next

The Vacation is over and I'm officially back in the swing of things. I had alot of time to think and ponder over the last few weeks and so with a full brain we will attack some Leadership and Vision Stuf. We will also get under the hood on programs vs steps and what that really looks like along with some other randomness in the middle of all that. Lots to unpack, I promise it will get you thinking! Glow Run Results

Hey the Jackson Night Glow 5K was off the Hook!!!! Big party man I had a great time. I ran with Marianne and Tim Ohler and we had a great time. Tim finished strong with a 31 min. Marianne with a 33 min. and Me with a 35:30. It was major fun and there is nothing like the feeling when you finish. It was a perfect evening and I really enjoyed the run even though i didn't enjoy my time. I learned that if you start way in the back it will take a little while before you cross the starting line. Overall a great evening and it was awesome to run with Marianne. Whoop! -Kev

Glow Run

Well it's here the much anticipated Jackson Night Glow 5K. Friday night at 9:45 the race kicks off through a luminated course for 3.1 miles. Word is NewPointe will be represented and I'm looking forward to seeing some running friends that I have met since jumping into the whole 5K world. There is nothing more fun than the before and after feelings of races...It's addicting. It's like a party and someone told me that between 700 and 1000 people run in this race. I'm so Pumped! My hope is to finish under 33:00 this time but hey, if not no big deal. I plan on having a great time and Running with Marianne who is running in her first along with fellow Kidstufer Tim Ohler.Word is the "Live Comfort Eagle"...the Conn man himself might make an appearance. If that happens we may need to add a security contingent. Looking forward to a Whoop! of an evening! -Kev

Hilton Head Day One and a Half

Made it to the beach and it was epic!!!! We had a full day of Fun starting out with watching NewPointe at the pool on my Mac. Totally Rockin with all the other pool goers checkin in from a distance. A little lunch and then...to the Beach...Totally Chillin!!!.. and definitely Off The Hook. Andrew who was worried about shark attacks was body surfing in minutes and all of had our fill of heat, waves, salt water and sand and made our way back for a little rest and dinner. later that evening we went over to the lighthouse were there was alot of shops and a big party going on in the park and of course no trip to HH would be complete without a trip to the Piggly Wiggly to get some stuf!
This morning marianne and I ran a couple of miles they have these bike/walking trails that go everywhere.....Whoop! and of course I am again sitting by the Pool. Is this great or what! WHOOOOOOOOP! Kev

The Beach or Bust

For Me there are seasons of blogging where there are lots of posts and info and there are times when the schedule really kills any attempt to keep up with this thing. Well this is one of those times and in the morning I will be leaving on my families very first real vacation....yup to Hilton Head. Been saving up for this and we plan on having a blast! I will try to chime in from time to time but my plans look a bit like this.
Wake up
The Beach
Eat
The Beach
Nap
The Pool
Walk
The Beach
Eat
Eat
Sleep
At least that's the plan. I hope it works out that way!
